When you drive from Montauroux in the direction of the Southern Alpes you find the landscape carved through with deep canyons and gorges where fast-rushing rivers make excellent places for "canyoning“.
One of the most famous places is the deep cliff of the Gorges du Verdon. Unique in Europe and is one of the greatest tourist attractions in Provence.
